Founded in 2018 by Asman Arianto, Ribang Gayo Musara Cooperative brings together more than 350 smallholder farmers in Patan Musara, Aceh Tengah. Originally from South Sumatra, Asman began working in coffee after moving to Aceh in 1998, first focusing on wet-hulled coffee before expanding into washed, honey and natural processing.
His vision was to create a cooperative that could offer farmers better prices while supporting them in reinvesting in their farms and families. The cooperative provides members with quality-based premiums, training and support across cultivation and processing.
This Natural lot is made from carefully handpicked cherries, which undergo rigorous selection before being dried on raised beds in greenhouses. The result is a rich and expressive Sumatra coffee, with layers of strawberry and red berries, balanced by caramel sweetness and a smooth milk chocolate finish.
