Flavour First

MASL | 1500m - 1600m

Sourced from smallholder and blockholder farms in Papua New Guinea’s Eastern Highlands Province, Lamana Natural is processed at the Lahamenegu Mill, operated by PNG Coffee Exports Ltd. The mill works closely with registered farmers, building long-term relationships that support consistency in production and coffee quality. The process begins with the selective collection of ripe coffee cherries, which are transported directly to the mill for careful selection. The cherries are then slowly sun-dried on raised beds for up to four weeks, allowing for even drying and the development of the coffee’s distinctive character. After drying, the cherries rest in conditioning bins to help preserve cup quality before being hulled shortly before shipment.

This natural-processed coffee showcases a rich, fruit-forward profile, with notes of dates, grape, plum, prune and red apple. Its winey character and underlying sweetness create a distinctive expression of Papua New Guinea coffee, highlighting the influence of careful cherry selection and slow natural processing.
