Nuwa Senchi means 'strong woman' in the local Awajún language. Sonia's farm, El Higerón, is situated in the Amazonas district in the north of Peru.
Sonia's journey into the world of coffee began in the heart of Amazonas loya Grande, where lush landscapes and a rich heritage of coffee cultivation inspire every step of her work. Drawing from family traditions and a passion for quality, she has dedicated herself to crafting coffees that speak of both history and innovation. She is also a member of the NORCAFE Cooperative.
Sonia has been a strong advocate for women in her community and has partnered with other female producers to promote education, professional recognition, financial growth and continuous improvement. Her coffees have been consistently delicious and extremely well processed, a testament to her expertise.
