There’s a growing demand for Mexican coffee beans and this well-balanced single origin is a great testament as to why. It has sweet toffee notes with hints of vanilla and star fruit and brews a knockout espresso.
The Santizo family farm, Finca Miralvalle, is perched high over the Natural Biosphere Reserve in the small city of Montecristo De Guerrero, in the mountain region of Chiapas.
Now in its 4th generation of coffee farming, Finca Miralvalle is run by Rodolfo Santizo. A heavy emphasis on land sustainability was instilled in Rodolfo from a young age. His parents looked after the land and didn’t use any chemicals to fertilize their crops. Today, Rodolfo's son Marcos is heavily involved in the decision making and has a grand vision for specialty coffee production.
This is the second lot we have purchased from Marcos, and we decided to buy the entire lot. This year Finca Miralvalle is exclusive to The Little Marionette.
When sourcing, we seek ethical coffees and sustainable opportunities to give back to the communities from which we source. Strong partnerships allow us to gather the finest single origin beans from naturally processed micro lots and we can’t wait to see what outstanding beans Rodolfo and Marcos will produce next.
Roasted in small batches at our Inner West roastery, these single origin beans are packaged fresh to ensure you get the best out of your brew. As with all our beans, this Mexican single origin is best enjoyed within 30 days. For maximum freshness we recommend that you store your beans or ground coffee in a vacuum sealed or airtight container.
